Whether it is Microsoft specific is the next question. My back-to-back comparison says its is a function of Microsoft's wireless implementation. If someone with the problem can test the same system with a Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse and a Logitech (with Logitech drivers) wireless back-to-back it would be useful.
